Caucasian Shepherd I Don't Always Spoil My Dog Oh Wait Yes I Do Tee Shirts Black

So it wouldn’t be easy to take you unawares. One thing you may have heard, that I definitely subscribed to, is to not turn your back to it. You usually also have a bit of time to look around for anything, rocks, planks, branches, whatever. Keep your focus on the dog at all times. When it does attack, and you got nothing else, it will go for your legs, usually very low at your legs. I think it is because they want to trip you and then go for the neck and head. My assumption only. Anyway, you want to be able to quickly pull and launch a forward kick straight at its head, hopefully on the side, with enough force to push it back or to the side away from you. Rinse, repeat until the dog gives up. What I don’t advise is kicking it with an upward kick anywhere on the jaw because I have done that once. The dog did end up performing a backflip and running away but my foot was twice its size after a minute. That was one very hard and pointy jaw 🤷♂️ Several times, against more persistent and larger dogs I was tempted to kick at the ribs after kicking them to the side of the head, but I was afraid of breaking its ribs or something so I did not. My point was never to actually really harm the dog, but to just get it to back down and away. Some of them I ended up feeding after they attacked me and they became friendly and followed me for a while which helped keep other dogs away. One other instance I remember was when a huge boxer, a guy I know, was attacked by a very big Caucasian shepherd such as the one on the pic below (taken from Wikipedia). Anyway, the dog managed to jump on him, he stumbled back and fell with the shepherd still on top of him. Not a good position to find yourself in. I was running towards them to help but was too far away at the moment. The boxer first tried pushing the dog’s head and neck back but isn’t getting much luck. These are all mere seconds we are talking about. The dog on the other hand couldn’t get a proper grab of him so it kept trying. At one moment of pure brilliance the boxers entire demeanour changed and he went into full fighting mode. At this point I imagine training kicks in. He (still lying on his back) picked up a guard, let go of the dog and started punching upward, cross cross jab etc. That was the moment when the dog got in trouble and started changing his mind. He stumbled back enough for the boxer to sit up, still in guard and still swinging.
